A new tab bar, and taps you can feel and hear

A new tab bar and screens that fit your phone, a tap you feel when a save goes through, a sound for the big moments, and Android gets the rest of 1.8.0 too: add a trip you already rode, invite your crew with a card, frame your trip cover, pick the currency in Expenses and move memories to their place.

Improved
  • A new tab bar, and screens that fit your phone

The tab bar at the bottom is new: five tabs side by side, with the one you are on raised in a green circle that glides over when you switch. Tab names no longer run into each other in Vietnamese, and screens now use the space under the bar. Profile is tidier: your photo sits centred when you change it, and hints under form fields line up below the field. Dates follow the app's language, and buttons, titles and rows keep their words whole when your phone uses a larger font.

  • You feel it when a save goes through

Saving a trip or an expense, settling up, joining a trip, a payment code read by the camera, copying an invite and a memory that finishes uploading now give a short tap you can feel, and a different one when something did not go through.

  • Hear it when a rider drifts from the group

While riding, a new separation alert now plays a short chime as well as the vibration, so you notice it with the phone in its mount. It mixes with your music, stays quiet on silent, and can be turned off with Ride alert sound, under the separation alert distance (the slider button on the ride map).

  • A little sound for the big moments

Creating a trip, joining one, finishing a ride and settling up now play a short sound. Everything else stays quiet. It follows silent mode, never stops your music, and can be turned off in Settings, App preferences, App sounds.

Add the trips you already rode, and Memories that keep up

Add a trip you already rode from its photos or in a few taps, join a trip by scanning its QR code, invite your crew with a card, frame your trip cover, pick the currency in Expenses, move memories to their place, and feel and hear the moments that matter.

New
  • Join a trip by scanning its QR code

In Trips, tap + and Join with code, then Scan QR code and point at a friend's invite card, or Choose a picture of the code saved from a chat: you are in the trip at once. Scan QR on Home reads invite cards too. A code that is not an invite is named as such, and when the camera is off the app says so, with a way to Settings.

  • Add a trip you already rode, from its photos

In Trips, tap +, Add a trip you rode, then Pick photos first and choose the trip's photos. RideFlow reads when each was taken, and where when the photo says so, sorts them into days and places, and saves the trip as done with its photos in Memories. Rename, choose or leave out a place before you save.

  • Add a trip you rode in a few taps

In Trips, tap + and Add a trip you rode: name the trip, set its days and choose where you went, then pick its photos and videos. RideFlow puts each day's files in a memory at that place and saves the trip as done. If some were taken outside the days you set, it asks whether to widen them.

  • Invite your crew back with a card

In Members, the trip owner can make an invite card: a photo you choose, the trip's name and dates, and a QR code. Share it or save it to Photos; whoever scans it joins the trip, and a trip that is done opens on its Memories so they can add their photos. Switching off invite codes stops every link, code and card at once.

  • Frame your trip cover

After picking a cover photo, drag and pinch it in the card's shape to choose what shows; list rows show the part inside the square. The form shows the cover as it will appear, with Adjust framing until you save.

  • Move a memory to its place

In the photo viewer's menu, the person who made a memory can now choose Change place to pin it to another stop of the trip's Timeline, or remove its place. The album and the Profile globe follow.

Improved
  • A trip you already rode is saved as done

Create a trip whose last day has passed and RideFlow says so under the dates and saves it as Done. A draft whose dates are behind you now reads Past, and its owner can mark it done from the trip, the list or Complete all.

  • Pick a trip's currency in Expenses

Creating a trip no longer asks what you will spend in. The trip's owner picks the currency beside Categories in Expenses, before the first expense. Once money is in, the currency stays, so a trip's totals never mix two currencies.

  • Trip owners can move any memory to its place

The owner of a trip can now choose Change place on any memory in the trip, not only their own, and pin it to one of the trip's stops or remove its place. A memory's title stays with the person who made it.

  • See how far an upload has got

Adding a memory now shows its upload as a percentage with a bar, and each photo or video fills its own ring as it goes up. A video heavier than the limit is made smaller to fit instead of being refused, and the composer says the current limits.

  • The end date follows the start

Pick a trip's start and its end now moves with it, keeping the same number of nights, so the end's calendar opens right beside the day you chose, even for a trip you rode years ago. Moving the start of a planned trip moves the whole trip. On Android one tap sets the whole range and the next tap picks the end.

  • Trip confirmations in the middle of the screen

Deleting, leaving or completing a trip, and completing all past trips, now ask in a centred alert with a Cancel button, in the trip list and inside a trip, instead of a bubble that pointed away from the button you tapped.

Fixed
  • Many photos and videos, no more freezing

Adding dozens of photos and videos to a memory stays smooth: each one appears as soon as it is ready, with a count of what is still coming, and the upload shows its progress in the app's green. A video of any length can go up now, sent at 1080p, and a video that could not be prepared before is tried again and sent as it was recorded. When a file is too large or the server is busy, the app says so.

  • Deleting a memory shows the right photo next

The photo viewer now always shows the photo you opened, so Delete removes the one on screen. After a delete, the next older photo takes its place at once, and a photo deleted from the Profile globe can no longer be swiped back to. If the album cannot refresh afterwards, it says so.

  • The Memories album no longer loads forever

Coming back to a trip's Memories keeps the album on screen while it refreshes, and a load that takes too long stops with Retry instead of spinning. Photo links that expired while the app was in the background are renewed, and a photo that missed its link asks again. On Android, the Profile globe's photos load again after you leave a trip.

  • A video that can't be added says why

Picking a video that is too long now says so, and the photos picked with it stay in the memory instead of disappearing. On Android, 4K clips are made smaller before upload so they no longer fail, and large files get more time to go up.

  • A new trip cover shows right away

Adding or changing a trip's cover now shows the new picture as soon as you save, instead of the old one, the region picture or none. If a photo cannot be read or the cover does not upload, the form stays open and says so, so you can tap Save again.

  • Trip pictures load faster and stay put

Small trip pictures in lists now load a picture sized for them, about seven times lighter, and show a quiet tint while they arrive; the mountain picture is only for a trip with no cover. Completing, reopening or archiving a trip keeps its picture, and on iPhone, Home updates after you leave or delete a trip.

  • Shortening a trip moves its stops to the new last day

When new dates would cut off days that still hold stops or memories, the trip form says which days and what is on them, and Save moves them to the new last day instead of failing.

  • Plan a trip to or from a town, not only a province

Type a town or a place under Somewhere else, such as Phan Thiết, and Plan a trip offers the region it lies in, Bình Thuận, with that place already among the places you want. The start finds a town the same way, and the trip starts right there. Saying "plan a trip to Phan Thiết" works too, and a name RideFlow does not know yet now says so.

A floating tab bar, and every place in Explore

The tabs float above the screen with Search on its own, and Android gets the rest of 1.7.0 too: Explore opens the whole catalog, Plan a trip handles the way there, your trips read by year, quick find finds fuel all over Vietnam, and trips without a photo get their own mountain pass.

Improved
  • A floating tab bar, with Search on its own

Home, Trips, Ride and Profile now sit in a floating bar above the bottom of the screen, and Search is a round button of its own beside it, as on iPhone. The tab you are on stands out in bold, and switching tabs gives a light tap you can feel.

Explore every place, and plan a trip you fly into

Explore opens the whole catalog, Plan a trip handles the flight, train or coach there, your trips read by year, quick find answers fast with fuel all over Vietnam, and every trip without a photo gets its own mountain pass.

New
  • Plan a trip you fly into, then ride

Lên chuyến now plans the way there apart from the riding: fly, take the train or a coach to the region, then ride a motorbike or a car, your own or rented, and come home the way you like. On iPhone you can just tell AIA, "fly to Đà Nẵng, then rent a motorbike to Hội An and Mỹ Sơn". Change the way there, the way home or the vehicle on its own, and the rest of the plan stays.

  • Explore the whole catalog

Explore now opens every place RideFlow has, not just the dozen it showed before. Browse by theme, from sea and islands to mountains and passes; tap Use location to see destinations within a day's ride; see every featured destination; go region by region across Vietnam, province by province; or pick a country abroad.

  • Your trips read by year, and past trips finish in one tap

Trips now shows Now and upcoming first, then one section per year, and a button in the top bar folds the cards into a compact list. A trip still marked Active after its last day reads Past, and its owner can complete it right on the card or complete them all at once. A completed trip can be reopened from its menu.

Improved
  • Quick find answers faster and finds fuel all over Vietnam

Tap Fuel, EV charging or Food on the Ride map and the places appear in about half a second. RideFlow now knows thousands of fuel stations across every province, and where it has few places of a kind, the list offers a Google Maps search beside map data.

  • A trip without a cover photo now has its own mountain pass

Trips with no cover photo used to share one plain green block. Each one now shows its own drawn landscape: a sky at dawn, midday or dusk, layered ridges and a winding pass road. The same trip keeps the same picture on the Trips list, on Home and on the Ride tab, until you add a photo.

  • Opening the app, the RideFlow bike starts up and rides off

While the app reads your saved sign-in, the RideFlow bike now idles on screen, a light running round its front wheel and the exhaust puffing, then rides off as your next screen opens. The old card with its two lines of text is gone, and on iPhone the screen shown before it now has the same colour, so nothing flashes.

Plan a trip in a few taps on Android

Plan a whole trip from a few answers, with real road distances and a town for every night, and go from a photo on your globe to its trip.

New
  • Plan a trip in a few taps

Starting a trip on Android now asks where you start, where you want to go (or suggests somewhere), how many days and by what, then drafts the days for you from RideFlow's places, with real road distances and a town for every night. Change it with a tap, pick your dates and create the whole trip at once. The old form is still there under Create it myself.

  • From a photo on your globe to its trip

Open a photo from a marker on your Profile globe, tap More and choose Go to trip: the trip that photo was taken on opens, and Back brings you to your Profile again.

Plan a trip in a few taps, or just tell AIA

Plan a trip from a few answers, or by talking to AIA on Plus, get a photo of where it goes as its cover, go from a photo on your globe to its trip, and add memories without waiting.

New
  • Plan a trip in a few taps, or by talking to AIA

Starting a trip now asks where you start, where you want to go (or suggests somewhere), how many days and by what, then drafts the days for you from RideFlow's places, with real road distances and a town for every night. Change it with a tap, pick your dates and create the whole trip at once. The old form is still there under Create it myself. With RideFlow Plus you can also say or type the trip, like "Hà Giang 4 days by motorbike from Hanoi": AIA drafts the days, asks only what is missing and changes the draft when you ask.

  • From a photo on your globe to its trip

Open a photo from a marker on your Profile globe, tap More and choose Go to trip: the trip that photo was taken on opens, and Back brings you to your Profile again.

Improved
  • Planned trips come with a picture

A trip made in Plan a trip now takes a photo of where it goes as its cover, so your trips, Home and the Ride tab show a picture instead of a blank tile. You can still change the cover when you edit the trip.

  • Add a memory without waiting

Tap Upload and you are back in the album at once. Your photos show there straight away with their progress while they go up together, and the upload keeps going if you lock your phone or switch apps for a moment. If a photo does not go up, retry it right from the album. Picking photos is quicker too.

Fixed
  • Dates, routes and pictures that stay right

A trip created on iPhone now starts and ends on exactly the days you pick. The road, ferry or ride into the next day you choose for a leg keeps its distance and time when you change other stops. And a place's picture loads sharp when you add it to a trip.

RideFlow Plus comes to Android

Subscribe to RideFlow Plus on Google Play, with a 7-day free trial if you have not had one, add assistant quota and storage from Plan & usage, close a guide with one tap, and read a trip's dates on one line.

New
  • RideFlow Plus on Google Play

You can now subscribe to RideFlow Plus on Android, monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial if you have not had one. Plan & usage shows your plan and the Google Play price, restores a purchase on a new phone, and opens Google Play to manage the subscription. Plus already bought on an iPhone keeps working with the same account.

  • Add assistant quota and storage on Android

With RideFlow Plus, Plan & usage now lets you add assistant quota that does not expire with the month, and double your Plus storage with a one-time purchase, both at the Google Play price and as often as you need. The screen also tells you when storage is running low or the month's quota is used up.

Fixed
  • Closing a guide closes it on Android

Tapping X on a guide now closes it, even when the card was just moving on by itself. The assistant's card also lines its title up beside the face, without the wide gap.

  • Trip dates read on one line on Android

When you pick a trip's dates, the range now sits on one line instead of breaking word by word, and typing the dates no longer leaves an empty space under them. The dates on the trip form also follow the app's language and stay on one line with large text.

Trips that open at once, and the assistant a tap away on Plus

A trip opened from Home opens the moment you tap it, the assistant gets a microphone button on Plus when Hey RideFlow is off, Plus bought on Google Play reads right on iPhone, and the Explore guide starts at the search box.

Improved
  • Hey RideFlow off, the assistant is a tap away

On RideFlow Plus, switching Hey RideFlow off no longer switches the assistant off: a microphone button appears on Home and in a trip, so you can tap it and ask. With the phrase on, just say it. The button comes with Plus.

  • Plus bought on Android shows right on iPhone

If you subscribed to RideFlow Plus on Google Play, Plan & usage on iPhone now says so and tells you to manage it in Google Play on your Android phone, without offering Apple's subscription page. A payment on hold is now shown even while the plan reads Basic, with where to fix it. A purchase still waiting for approval or payment, or one the App Store could not finish, is now described accurately.

Fixed
  • Trips open the moment you tap them

Tap a trip on Home, or its Planning, Members, Memories or Expenses shortcut, and it opens straight away; Back slides it off to Home again. The empty glass bar that showed at the bottom of a trip as it opened is gone.

  • The Explore guide starts with the search box

The first time you open Explore, the assistant now shows where to search for provinces, countries and places before it points out the featured destinations. That first card used to be skipped.

RideFlow arrives on Google Play

The native Android app is now on Google Play for everyone: plan trips with your group, talk to an assistant that knows your whole trip, pay a shop by bank transfer from the trip, let quick find hand your ride to Google Maps, rate places with RideFlow's own stars, create your account with Google, and hold to start a ride.

New
  • The assistant knows your whole trip on Android

Ask in your own words about the whole plan or one day, how far it is to the next stop, what the group has spent, your notes, the packing list or who is coming. The assistant can now make the change for you too - move or lock a stop, add or edit an expense, mark a debt paid, tick or edit a note - and waits for you to say "chốt" before each one. Riding commands still work offline. You can stop it learning from what you say under Settings → Voice assistant → Help the assistant learn.

  • Pay a shop by bank transfer, straight from your trip

On Home, under your trip, Scan QR or Transfer opens your own bank app ready to pay. Come back to RideFlow and the expense is waiting, ready to add to the trip.

  • Rate places with RideFlow's own stars

Give a food place or a stop your own stars after you have been, and see what other riders thought before you go.

Improved
  • Create your account with Google

Create an account now offers Continue with Google too, so you can start without typing an email and a password.

  • Hold to start a ride, and keep it in sight

A ride starts when you hold the button, so a stray tap never starts one, and the live ride stays above the tab bar on every tab.

  • An app that moves with the ride

Routes draw themselves on the map, a ring spreads while quick find looks, numbers roll, ticks draw themselves, and the headlight lights up as you pull to refresh.

  • Smoother search and planning

Search comes back after you peek at a place, the map frames a proposed route, the member list loads more gently, and tab labels always show in full.

  • RideFlow's own app icon

The home screen shows the RideFlow wordmark on its green, in every launcher shape and with themed icons.

Fixed
  • Looks right on Android 15 and later

Navigation buttons stay clear on Trip preparation, and Add note no longer sits under the navigation bar.

Pay by bank transfer, quick find the map-app way, and RideFlow's own place ratings

Pay a shop by bank transfer from Home and find the expense ready when you come back, let quick find hand your ride to Google Maps and find EV chargers, rate food places with RideFlow's own stars, create as many trips as you like, hold to start a ride and keep it in sight on every tab, and talk to an assistant that understands more of how riders talk.

New
  • Pay a shop by bank transfer, straight from your trip

On Home, under your trip, Scan QR or Transfer opens your own bank app ready to pay. MB, VietinBank, BIDV, ACB and OCB open with the account and amount filled in; for other banks, RideFlow saves a QR code with the amount to your photos to scan there. Come back to RideFlow and the expense is ready to add to the trip.

  • Find EV charging stations on the ride

Quick find has a new EV charging category: public chargers for cars and electric motorbikes near you, or in the area the map shows. Ask the assistant for a charger nearby and it finds them too.

  • Rate a place with RideFlow's own stars

Give a food place one to five stars and up to three quick tags, such as Tasty or Fair price. Once three riders have rated it, the place page shows RideFlow's average and the tags most chosen. Nobody sees who rated what.

  • Hold to start a ride, and keep it in sight on every tab

Start riding now takes a one-second hold, the same as stopping, so a phone in a pocket cannot start sharing your position: the button fills and the phone revs like an engine, then kicks when the ride starts. While a ride runs, the other tabs show it above the tab bar with its distance and time, and a tap takes you back to it.

Improved
  • Quick find hands your ride to Google Maps

Pick a place in quick find and Directions opens Google Maps in motorbike mode, ready to go; RideFlow's own guidance stays as the second choice. Categories RideFlow has no places for search Google Maps around you, and asking the assistant for directions to the next stop opens Google Maps too.

  • Quick find looks like a map app

Category chips sit right over the Ride map, one tap per search, the way Google Maps does it. Results wear each category's icon, and a place's real photos when it has them.

  • Food places show their front, their dishes and their prices

A checked food place now shows a set of photos: its front or its room first, then two or three of its dishes, and its price board when there is one.

  • Create as many trips as you like

Basic and Plus no longer limit how many trips you can create. Plus differs in storage and the assistant.

  • Choosing the trip to ride is clearer

Before you ride, the Ride tab shows the trip you are about to ride as a card - its cover, today's day, the riders and the route - with Change to pick another trip or ride free, and one Start riding button.

  • The assistant understands more of how riders talk

Tried against hundreds of real ways of asking, the assistant now opens a trip by the name you call it and goes straight to its expenses or plan, opens your profile and its globe, and does every step when you ask for two things at once - confirming them saves each one once. It asks you to say it again when it did not catch you, saying “thôi” with nothing waiting ends the conversation, and a request to message the group is no longer saved as a note. It also opens your photos when you ask - the newest, the first, the one taken at a stop - finds food around a stop ahead on the plan rather than where you stand, and keeps to Vietnamese when it heard you clearly.

  • Home shows the trip nearest today

The trip at the top of Home is now the one whose dates are closest to today - the one you are on, otherwise the nearest before or after - instead of the oldest trip still open. Ask the assistant for expenses, the plan or any other part of a trip without naming one, and it opens the trip you have open, or else this one.

  • Searches, totals and ticks come alive

While the app looks up a place, AIA's headlight thinks with three stepping dots instead of a spinner. Expense totals, preparation counts and finished notes roll to their new number like an odometer, and ticking a preparation item or a note, or saving a spot near a stop, draws the tick in. Switching between Plan, Members, Memories and Expenses blinks an amber signal on the side you moved to, a little road draws itself while route options load, and Explore's waiting cards catch a chrome shine.

Fixed
  • A ride's Live Activity ends with the ride

Closing RideFlow during a ride, or ending the ride by voice, now also takes the ride off the Dynamic Island and the Lock Screen, and opening the app clears any left behind.

  • The place preview opens wherever you open Planning

Picking a place from Planning's search now always opens its preview - the photo, the guide and Add to day - however you reached Planning, including from a trip's Planning link.

  • Every place shows its photo, and sooner

Some places showed a coloured panel instead of their photo when opened, even though their card in Explore had one. They now open on the photo you just saw, and pictures across Explore, trips and place pages load at the size they are shown, only as they come on screen.

  • Button labels stay on one line

Buttons, chips and pills no longer break their label onto a second line, in Vietnamese or English.

An assistant that knows your trip, and a globe that films your journey

Ask the assistant about your plan in your own words and let it make the change, meet its new headlight face, film a journey on the Profile globe and see which provinces you have ridden.

New
  • Ask the assistant anything about your trip

Say it in your own words: the whole plan or one day, how far it is from one stop to the next, a stop's guide, what the group has spent, your notes, the packing list or who is coming. The assistant can now also make the change for you - move a stop to another day, lock a stop, edit or delete an expense, mark a debt paid, tick or edit a note, change a member's role - and asks you to confirm each one first. You can ask for several things in one go. Figures come only from your trip, and when it cannot do something it says where in the app to do it. Riding commands still work offline, and you can stop it learning from what you say under Settings → Help the assistant learn.

  • Film a journey on the Profile globe

Open the ⋯ menu on Profile and choose Film a journey: pick a route and a vehicle for each leg - a motorbike, a car, a bus, a plane - and watch it travel the real road across the globe, with the camera following it, 3D vehicles and sound. The globe has its own takes too: a steady spin, a spin with a zoom, a fly-in. The screen clears while a take runs, so start Screen Recording in Control Center to keep it. Free for every rider.

  • See which provinces you have ridden on the Profile globe

Open the ⋯ menu on Profile and choose Coverage: the globe flies to Việt Nam and colours every province you have been to, each in its own colour, with every province named and a 🇻🇳 count of how many of the 34 you have reached. Your photos with a location and the stops of trips you have finished count. Quần đảo Hoàng Sa, Quần đảo Trường Sa and Biển Đông are labelled on the map.

Improved
  • The voice assistant is the RideFlow headlight

The assistant now has a face: the headlight from the RideFlow logo. Call it and it looks round at you. While it listens its eyes open wide and both indicators blink; while it thinks it shows three dots. It looks down at a form it opens, signals right before it takes you to another screen, winks when something is saved and looks away when you say goodbye. What it is doing is still written under it.

Fixed
  • Motorbike routes keep off the expressways

A leg planned for a motorbike could be drawn along an expressway, where motorbikes are not allowed. The trip planning map now keeps a motorbike's route on roads it can ride: Sài Gòn to Đà Lạt, for example, follows QL20 through Bảo Lộc instead of the CT.01 expressway.

  • Memories open without a false error

Opening a memory from a marker on your Profile globe could flash an error that it couldn't be loaded before the photo appeared. The viewer now shows the photo loading and then the photo, and reports an error only when it really cannot be loaded.

Your photos of a place, and the area you are looking at

Add your own photos to a place you found on the ride, search the area the map is showing, and read the app in Vietnamese wherever it speaks.

New
  • Your own photos of a place

Found somewhere worth remembering on the ride? Add your photos to it from the place's page in Ride. A curator looks at every photo before anyone else sees it, and the location data is stripped from the file before it leaves your phone.

  • Search the area you are looking at

Pan the map in Ride, then ask for food, coffee or fuel in the area on screen: everywhere RideFlow knows appears as pins and as a list, each with the way there and, for a place you want to read more about, its page on Google Maps.

Improved
  • Vietnamese everywhere the app speaks

274 strings had no Vietnamese and showed in English whatever your language: Home's greeting, the trip form and its errors, account deletion, Settings, the memory composer and viewer, the route picker, place search's messages, the Plus usage screen, and the moderation and feedback screens. All of them read in Vietnamese now - and so do the Ride tab, App preferences and the Settings title, from the moment you choose Tiếng Việt.

Fixed
  • Signing in asks less, and its links land right

Right after signing in, iOS could ask for Speech Recognition before you had touched the assistant, and the question stayed over the app until you answered it; it now comes when you call the assistant. "Return to sign in" and "Already have an account? Sign in" open the sign-in form wherever you came from, and showing a password no longer makes iOS offer to save it before you have signed in.

  • Trips open on the plan, and end where they should

Opening a trip from Trips, or from "Your trips" in Explore, landed on whichever section the previous trip was left on, Memories included; a trip now opens on its plan, while a notification or a link that names a section still opens there. The "Remove this rider?" question no longer closes by itself, a link to a trip you can no longer open says so and takes you to your inbox, and leaving or deleting a trip returns you to Trips.

  • The timeline follows a change of dates at once

After changing a trip's dates from the timeline's calendar and saving, the timeline kept its old days until you left the trip and came back. It now shows the new days the moment the dates are saved: a later end adds its day, an earlier one takes days away.

Room for more memories

Journey storage can be topped up whenever you need it, and what you have bought reads clearly in Plan & usage.

New
  • More journey storage

Plus riders can buy more journey storage right from Plan & usage - a one-time purchase that never expires, bought again whenever you need more. Storage and assistant top-ups now sit on one tidy line each, and assistant quota you have bought waits for your next Plus month instead of being spent on Basic.

An assistant for the whole app

Plus riders can add assistant quota once the month’s is used up, and the assistant now reaches every screen, answers questions, says what it is doing and lets you talk over it - while your Profile map carries every trip and pictures load in a fraction of the time.

New
  • Add assistant quota

Hey RideFlow keeps answering after the month’s quota is used up: Plus riders can add assistant quota right from Plan & usage, and quota they add does not expire with the month. Subscribing also confirms faster after the App Store sheet, and Plan & usage refreshes the moment a purchase lands.

  • The assistant reaches the whole app

Open any screen by name - Explore, Settings, Plan & usage, the Hey RideFlow screen, Feedback - in Vietnamese or English. Ask how much went on food or who has paid the most, how many photos the trip has, or when the next trip starts. Drop or move a stop on the plan (it asks you first), add something to the packing list, or ask a rider to bring an item.

  • The assistant answers questions, not just commands

Say hello, ask how far Đà Lạt is from Sài Gòn, what December is like in Sapa, or what is good in Hội An - then follow up with “and the weather there?” and it remembers what you just asked. It answers from your own itinerary first, and where a place has no reviewed guide yet it says what it knows, marked as such, rather than inventing it. Your trip's own plan and expenses are never guessed. Every question works in English too, counted and spoken properly.

Improved
  • The assistant says what it is doing, and you can talk over it

The Hey RideFlow mark now says “Listening…”, “Working…” or “Replying…” under it, shows your words as it hears them, and buzzes differently when the mic opens and when it closes. It knows the names of your trips, riders and stops, so it hears them right. You no longer have to wait for it to finish - start talking while it is answering and it stops, listens, and keeps what you said. Short commands answer without a two-second pause, replies start speaking from their first sentence, you get five seconds to start talking, and a new command closes whatever the last one opened.

  • Your Profile map carries every trip, and the world

Profile's map only ever drew memories from your five most recent trips; it now carries all of them. A photo takes its location from the picture itself, so it lands where it was taken, and the Countries tile counts trips abroad instead of recognising only Viet Nam. A reload button sits in the toolbar next to Settings, to refresh the map once you have added memories.

  • Pictures load in a fraction of the time

Every photo now carries a small copy made on your phone at upload, so albums and map markers stop asking the server to shrink the original on every visit - a marker fetches a few kilobytes where it used to fetch megabytes. Pictures arrive as WebP, about half the bytes, and a tall trip cover is no longer delivered at full height for a card a few hundred points tall. Opened from a marker, the viewer shows that picture at once, softly, then sharpens; at full screen you get a copy sized to your screen within about a second, and the full-resolution original only when you pinch to zoom.

  • Ferries, flights and trains are real legs now

When no road connects two stops - Rạch Giá to Phú Quốc, Vũng Tàu to Côn Đảo - the route picker says so and offers the ferry and the flight instead of a motorbike time across open water. A train, ferry or flight leg is drawn on the plan map as a dashed line between its two stops with the vehicle marked at the middle; a bus follows the road, like a car.

Fixed
  • Adding a place nobody had added before

Picking a place that was not yet in RideFlow's catalog showed “Something went wrong”. It is added and opens like any other now.

  • Fixes along the way

Opening a memory from a map marker no longer crashes, and it opens its own trip. On Home’s “Where you have been” rail a wide cover is clipped to its own card instead of spilling over the one beside it. The notification bell shows a count only once notifications are on for this phone, and signing out says so while it works.

The biggest RideFlow yet

RideFlow Plus arrives, alongside an assistant you can talk to without taking a hand off the bars, a short guide on every screen the first time you get there, your ride on the lock screen, and shared preparation for the whole crew.

New
  • Hey RideFlow - an assistant you can talk to

Say “Hey RideFlow” and the assistant wakes up without a tap, anywhere in the app. Ask for fuel, food, a mechanic or a place to sleep while you ride. Jump between screens, add a stop to a day, open an expense already filled in, bring up the invite link, or start a new trip. It shows what it is doing while it does it, and it asks before it saves anything. Listening for the wake phrase happens entirely on your phone.

  • RideFlow Plus

Subscribe to RideFlow Plus from Plan & usage. Basic is for the occasional ride with your group: limited active trips, limited room for memories, and no Hey RideFlow assistant. Plus is room to keep every ride, and the assistant on all of them: much more room for memories, the Hey RideFlow assistant in the voice you choose, more active trips, and an archive that keeps the full history. Only the trip owner needs Plus. Monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial on both, through the App Store - Restore purchases brings Plus to a new phone, Manage subscription shows when it renews or when a cancelled plan ends, and nothing you have is deleted when Plus ends.

  • A short guide on each screen, the first time you get there

The first time you reach a screen it explains itself: the screen dims and points at the thing being described - adding a place, dragging a stop to another day, the swipes on a card, what the Prep progress bar is counting. A few cards, skippable at any point, only about what that screen actually has, and never shown again on their own. All of them stay in Settings › App preferences › App guide.

  • A welcome on your first sign-in, and destinations waiting on your home screen

Finishing sign-up no longer drops you onto an empty screen: RideFlow greets you by name and says in one line what it keeps for a group. Before you have created anything, your home screen and trip list offer a row of destinations worth the ride, with their photos - tap one and the new trip opens already named after it. The sign-in screens speak Vietnamese too, with a language button there before you even have an account.

  • Your ride on the lock screen

While you are in On-Ride, iPhone carries the ride on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island: which trip you are on, how far you have gone, how long you have been going, and your average speed. The clock keeps running whether or not the signal does, it shows only your own numbers, and it disappears when you leave On-Ride.

  • Prepare every trip together

A shared preparation workspace for the whole crew: build the lists, claim what you will handle, and see who is responsible before departure. Your progress counts what is actually yours, reads the same from the overview and inside a list, and a reminder goes to the members you pick rather than to everyone.

  • Take a trip cover with the camera, or take it away

When you add a trip cover you can shoot it on the spot as well as choose from your gallery - and an owner who no longer wants a cover can remove it.

Improved
  • A far bigger destination library

Planning search reaches far past the first curated set. Hundreds of destinations across Viet Nam and abroad are ready to drop straight into a trip, each with a bilingual description, practical notes and a hero image that actually shows the place.

  • Memories, and the photo that stands for a place

Memories uses one consistent heart control, clearer vote counts, and a cleaner photo and video preview for choosing a trip's best moments. On the Profile map each place shows a real photo - you choose which one represents it, and a place with only video gets a still.

  • A calmer, clearer interface

The two navigation bars look distinct, so the trip bar is never mistaken for the app bar. Sheets and menus open with one consistent motion instead of hiding the navigation behind them, loading shows the RideFlow mark, and the mark is centred the same way on every header. Settings are laid out so support, account and preference actions are easy to find - including the feedback you have already sent. Planner roles fit small screens, expenses name their transaction type, and a place's Memories now sit with its Highlights while Take notes sits with the practical notes.

  • English and Vietnamese, everywhere

Trips, planning, profile, settings, invites, memories and the shared controls all follow the language you chose, in the same wording throughout.

  • Clearer moments around permissions and your account

RideFlow explains what notifications are for before the system asks, and shows plainly whether they are on. Blocked camera access comes with real instructions for restoring it. Sign-up states its password rules before you submit, and email verification and password recovery behave reliably without revealing whether an account exists.

Fixed
  • Nothing clipped, whatever your text size

The Add trip sheet grows to fit at larger system text sizes instead of cutting off its second option, App preferences keep their layout and wrap naturally, and the Delete and Lock buttons under a place fit a 390pt screen with Vietnamese labels. Dialog titles, sheet headers and the Prep checklist are set in RideFlow's own typeface again rather than the phone's.

  • Fixes along the way

A trip that fails to be created says what happened and what to do next. The Profile map returns to the view you left it on. New trip dates refresh the timeline’s days immediately. Delete account and Log out line up with each other in settings. And zooming a photo from a map marker or the Memories gallery keeps the picture under your fingers instead of pushing it off the screen.

Feedback-shaped polish

A round of polish shaped by what the first riders reported - a calmer Planning map, notifications that keep their place, and Expenses that hold on to more of what you need.

Improved
  • A clearer Planning map

Stops at the same coordinates are easier to select, while the compass stays clear of the top-right trip controls.

  • Lighter return to a recent trip

Returning to an already cached Trip Detail avoids replaying the heavy first-entry loading experience.

  • Expenses keep more useful context

Past payer names remain readable, Expense Detail has a focused full-screen view, and long Paid by lists stay complete and scrollable.

Fixed
  • Notifications mark read at the right moment

A valid notification is marked read before a slower destination preload, keeping Inbox state accurate when you open it.

  • Fresh trips after accepting an invite

Trips and Dashboard refresh before navigation after invite redemption, so the newly joined trip appears without stale data.

  • Safer camera session lifecycle

Camera open and dispose sequencing is hardened to prevent overlapping capture sessions when leaving and reopening the flow.
